   HIGH TOUCH POINTS IN THE RESIDENT ROOM
The high touch surfaces in the resident room are generally surfaces closest to the resident or touched when the resident gets out of the bed and moves to and from the washroom.
Basically, for a resident to make their way to and from the bathroom, most of the below surfaces will be touched before and after they have washed their hands.
  Resident room
Light switch
Door handle
These include:
1. Over bed monkey bar
2. Nurse call button
3. Bed rails
4. Over bed table
5. Washroom door handle 6. Taps
 (NOTE: Red dots indicate areas of highest contamination and touch)
