For the Barretos units, masonry boxes were constructed to store water for backwashing the Water Treatment Station filters and returning the water for treatment.
For the José Bonifácio unit, a tank was installed for storing water discharged from
the bottom of the boiler.
For the Palmeiras de Goiás unit, a project was created to carry out fertigation, to minimize effluents discharged into a receiving body.
For the Janaúba unit, a water reuse center was designed for water used in the spray bath.
The Araguaína unit maintains fertigation.

Water quality
All units remove at least 60% of BOD, pursuant to current law. Although the Company correctly complies with current law, the average removal of BOD from Minerva Foods units is at around 80%.
Treatment method
All effluents generated by Minerva Foods units go through Wastewater Treatment Stations, including primary and secondary treatment.
