Ann Rosener (1914-2012) was born in in in in San Francisco In 1935 she she graduated from Smith College a a a a a a a a a a a prominent women’s college located in in in in Northampton Massachusetts During the the the early 1940s she she worked as as as a a a a a a a a a a a a a a a a a a photographer for for the the the federal government as as as part of of the the the Office of of War War Information (OWI) Rosener produced approximately 800 images documenting American life during World War War II Her Her work work focused on on on on topics such as women working at at at jobs typically filled by by men men men and and home economics Her Her original negatives from the the the OWI are held by by the the the Library of Congress Prints and and Photographs Division Rosener continued to to to be active in in in in the the the arts until her death (Photo shot in in in in San Francisco CA USA 1943 )
