   Vacation/Sick Time and Holidays
Vacation/Sick Time
Rhonda Vappi Elizabeth Labonte Regular full-time and regular part-time employees hired to work 20 or more hours per week will accrue
Vacation/Sick Time. Vacation/Sick Time will not be accrued on overtime hours worked. This time may be taken for an employee’s own purposes including, but not limited to vacation, emergency, or sick time. Vacation/Sick Time may not be used to extend the last date of employment (termination date). Employees should refer to the full VST policy for complete details.
Scheduled absences
Scheduled absences may be used for vacation or sick days. VST should be requested in advance when possible by submitting a VST request form to your supervisor for approval.
Unscheduled absences
Unscheduled absences must be reported as soon as possible to your Supervisor and the time will be deducted from your Vacation/Sick Time bank. Please refer to the Time and Attendance policy in your Employee Handbook.
Each employee has an annual maximum Vacation/Sick Time amount, which is calculated based on 1 times his or her annual accrual amount.
Exempt and Non-exempt Vacation/Sick Time Accrual Schedule
Vacation/Sick Time Cash In
Non-exempt staff may turn in their unused Vacation/Sick Time hours for compensation at their regular hourly rate. Please refer to the policy for full details and requirements.
