רקע: המחבר רבי משה ליב זילברברג, מגאוני פולין, נולד בלונטשיץ בשנת תקנ״ד, כיהן כרב בכמה קהילות ולבסוף בקוטנא. בשנת תרי״ז עזב את הרבנות ועלה לירושלים, היה מגדולי רבני ירושלים ומנשיאי ישיבת עץ חיים, נפטר בשנת תרכ״ה. נודע על שם ספרו כ"בעל זית רענן"..
מאפיינים יחודיים: עותק עם שוליים רחבים במיוחד, עד כדי 7-6 ס"מ מהטקסט. חתימת בעלים בשער.
החלק שלפנינו נדפס בחייו, ובדף האחרון רשימת פרונמרנטן מעשרות קהילות בפולין. החלק השני נדפס כעבור 18 שנה, לאחר פטירת המחבר.

Speci cations: 4, 12; 89 [should be: 189], [1] leaf, 38 cm (!).
Background: e author, Rabbi Moshe Leib Zilberberg, one of the great rabbis of Poland, born in Luntschitz in 1794, served as rabbi of several congregations and nally of Kutno. In 1857, he left the rabbinate and immigrated to Jerusalem. He was one of the great rabbis of Jerusalem and one of the chairmen of the Etz Chaim Yeshiva, passed away in 1865. He is known as the Zayit Ra׳anan, after his book.
Unique Features: Copy with especially wide margins, up to 6-7 cm from the text. Ownership signature on the title page.
e part before us was printed during the author׳s lifetime, and on the last leaf is a list of subscribers from dozens of congrega- tions in Poland. e second part was printed 18 years later, after the author׳s passing.

Speci cations: [1], 81 leaves. 31 cm. ick and slightly dark paper typical of the place and period.
Background: On the rear side of the title page are lines of writing across the width of the page, which begin and end with the letters of the author׳s name. e author quotes Rabbi Chaim Vital in the introduction. Michseh L׳Ohel is printed on pages 77-81.
Very few books were printed in Mezyrow in Poland. Ben-Yaakov writes that the book was printed in Satanow and Ephraim Deinard, in Atikot Yehuda, Jerusalem 1915, adds that the printers in Satanow did not have a license, and therefore they concealed its real place of printing. However, other bibliographers believed that the book was really printed in Mezyrow, due partially to the words of the of printer from Mezyrow, Avraham Mordechai son of Rabbi Shevach, on the last page, who writes about those who criticized the printing press in our city. e author was the grandson of the Admor Rabbi Hischel, was rabbi of Mykolaiv, Satanow and later in Rawa. He was buried in the Land of Israel. For more information about him: Wunder, Galicia 4, 737-738.
Unique Features: Rare book, especially complete with the leaves at the end which were apparently added after the printing.
Condition: Very ne except for professional restoration in the white margins of the title page and the last leaf. Simple binding.
