Novaelle on tractate Kiddushin by one of the early Rabbis, whose name is unknown. With commentary on tractate Kinim. Constantinople, 1751. First edition. Handwritten glosses.
Speci cations: [2] 62 leaves, 30 cm. Ya׳ari Kushta 426.
Background: First edition of the book known as ‘Shita Lo Noda L׳Mi׳ which is novaelle from one of the Rishonim.  e publisher writes in the introduction how the manuscript came to be in his ,״Mi׳possession. Refer to Meir Benayahu, HaShita “Lo Noda L Kiryat Sefer, 25, 1949, pages 126-131. With three commentaries from the Rishonim on tractate Kinim: the Ra׳avad, Raz״eh and the Rosh.
Unique Features: Ownership signatures on the title page of Rabbis from the Ashkenazi and Antebbi families. Several schol- arly glosses in Sephardi handwriting.
Condition: Fine. Stains and slight worming holes. Binding is detached from the book.

Extremely Rare Book
Metziat Ezri, Sam Chaim. Words of mussar brought to print by Rabbi Menachem Azariah HaCohen [Hebrew and Yiddish]. Amsterdam, 1727.
Speci cations: 24 leaves, 16 cm. Printed in Hebrew and Yiddish in facing columns.  e  rst title page‘Metziat Ezri׳ is in Hebrew, followed by a partial title page ‘Sam Chaim׳ in Yiddish.
Unique Features: Interesting composition in rhyme, including words of mussar about prayers at the correct time in the syna- gogue, synagogue management (gabbai and shamash), matters of commerce and encroachment (hasagat gvul) and more.
Background:  e author is Avraham Ashkenazi A tiker of Ludmir, but his name does not appear in the book. It was brought to print by Rabbi Menachem Azariah HaCohen who writes that he found the book at his in-law׳s, and he added to what was written in it. It is possible that he did not know who the author was.
