רקע: רבי עזריאל פולק מאייזנשטאט נולד בשנת תקס״ג, מנעוריו שימש את בעל החתם סופר, היה מפורסם בלמודו ולצד זה שימש ש״ץ ונאמן הקהילה באיזנשטאט במשך ארבעים וחמש שנה. נפטר בשנת תרמ״ז

מאפיינים יחודיים: בשער חתימת ידו של רבי שלמה גאנצפריד. הספר נדפס באוונגואר עם הסכמת רבי שלמה גאנצפריד כראב״ד העיר שכותב שהמחבר הוא קרוב משפחתו. גם ברשימת הפרונמערנטן מופיע רבי שלמה גאנצפריד. חתימת הק׳ צבי קארנפיין וחתימות בעלים ורישומים
נוספים.
רקע: רבי שלמה גאנצפריד ראב״ד אונגוואר [תקס״ד- תרמ״ו, -1886 1804], קדוש וצדיק נשגב, נחבא אל הכלים בכל דרכיו והנהגותיו, אך ספריו הוציאו לו שם עולם בכל רחבי תבל, הוא לא הניח את קולמוסו מידו וכתב ספרים בכל מקצועות ההלכה, ראש וראשון להם הוא כמובן ספרו המונומנטלי קצור שולחן ערוך אשר נמצא כמעט בכל ארון ספרים יהודי.

Ganzfried on the title page. e book was printed in Ungvar with the approbation of Rabbi Shlomo Ganzfried as Av Beit Din of the city, who writes that the author is his relative. Rabbi Shlomo Ganzfried also appears on the list of subscribers. Signature of the small one Zvi Kornpein and other ownership signatures and inscriptions.
Background: Rabbi Shlomo Ganzfried, Av Beit Din of Ungvar [1804-1886], an exalted and holy man, modest in all of his ways, but his books made his name known throughout the world. He wrote extensively and published books on all topics of halacha, primarily his monumental work Kitzur Shulchan Aruch, which is found in almost every Jewish bookshelf.
Condition: Fine. e corners of the leaves are folded. Simple, blemished binding.

Unique Features: Signatures of Rabbi Azriel Pollack on the endpaper and on the title page. Several glosses and comments are among the book׳s leaves, including two long scholarly comments, which begin: yesh lidchok v׳letaretz, yesh lidchok leyshev.
Background: Rabbi Azriel Pollack of Eisenstadt was born in 1803. In his youth he served the Chatam Sofer. He was famous for his scholarship, and also served as cantor of the Eisenstadt congregation for 45 years. He passed away in 1887.
