Page 15 - Julie and Gary Mobile
P. 15
It was like yesterday that Gary called to tell us that he was giving Julie a ring after they were going to hike to the top of a mountain. I was a wreck, afraid that he would lose the ring on the climb. Later that day, Julie called, full of excitement and joy telling us that she got the ring. We were delighted that she was going to be part of our family.
The early years saw Julie earning her Master’s Degree and Gary establishing his own business, major accomplishments for both, but then after almost 10 years, their joint accomplishment was the birth of two sons within 17 months of each other. Devin, 20, and Daniel, 19, have grown into young adults bringing much joy to the family and, of course, to us as grandparents.
We have seen the two of you take pride in each other’s achievements, respected each other’s individuality and served as wonderful and loving role models for your children.
As parents, we have felt so fortunate in the caring and support that you have shown to us throughout the years, and we have felt so blessed to have this relationship.
Marriage is work. There are challenges to face, crucial and unexpected situations, as well as frustrations to overcome. However, the sweetness of it all is that if you have a person you respect, love deeply and share with by your side, give thanks that you have been lucky enough to have found each other. You have discovered riches beyond your greatest expectations.
We love you both dearly, wish you a Happy 30th Anniversary and pray that the many, many more years to come will bring you peace, happiness, good health and more of the riches you have experienced during your first 30 years.
