P. 22
Dearest Julie and Gary,
I feel like it was just yesterday when Julie went on her first date with
Gary. Then before we knew it, I watched her try on wedding gowns and she knew just what she wanted as she did with you, Gary. I do not recall the courtship being long. It was natural, easy and fell into place. I remember your first home in Burlington “by the light of the Manion Star” as Julie used to say. Louie and Sophie were our first “babies.”
I have pictures of us on your boat with them having a great time.
I remember when Julie told me she was pregnant with Devin and
I have a gorgeous picture of you, Julie pregnant at your baby shower! We were there for Devin’s bris and then before we knew it along came Daniel! Then you moved to Andover and we didn’t see you as much but always stayed in touch. I have been with you along the way witnessing the ups, downs and the in betweens in your lives. Through it all you have stayed together as partners in life and friends.
As Rabbi Harry said at my wedding, a good marriage is about these four letters: PLUS
• Patience • Understanding
• Listening • Service
You have both done your share of all of these elements with each other, your family, friends and community. May g-d continue to bless you and your family.
We love you both always,
Lori and Dan
To our favorite modern-day MacGyver and Mrs. Maisel... wishing you
another 30 years of creating, fixing, singing, and laughing through life
together with each other, family & friends. We look forward to sharing it all with you.
