MUSIC + ARTS
The Music + Arts Ministry at All Saints exists to help the church and our city more fully and deeply know, worship, and serve God. It also seeks to develop our community’s creative gifts and encourage loving engagement with the culture so that we may more truly reflect God’s beauty and show His love in Christ to the world. Since moving into our building, we have seen this vision play out in new and exciting ways, the most visible of which is our art gallery space. The gallery has showcased the work of 24 different visual artists and writers – many from our own community — since opening in August 2016.
In addition to broadening our understanding and worship of God through beautiful artwork selected for its connection to the liturgical calendar, the gallery also serves as our community “living room,” providing a visually captivating and welcoming space for our acoustic concert series, receptions, Music + Arts lunches, women’s gatherings, and special events.
Our music ministry also continues to live out this vision through the continued growth
and development of the music team and the choir through the faithful service of over fifty musicians and singers from throughout our congregation, pre-teens to 60+. All Saints’ choir participates in Sunday worship and special services on a regular basis. They also had the honor this spring of performing a specially commissioned piece with the Trinity University Chamber Singers at our Lenten Choir Concert.
