unrelenting illness. Day aer day, year aer year, we struggle with nowhere to turn. When everything is lost, how precious it is to have a miraculous cure. When health and strength are infused into limp limbs to make them sturdy, what a time it is to rejoice! Loved ones rise from deathbeds with new life. Faces glow with wonder as strength re-enters twisted bodies and minds. Such is how Swami’s miraculous gis are bringing health to a tormented world. I wept with deep gratitude upon seeing this sacred vision of Swami’s grace.
Swami has come to bring mental and moral health and happiness to the world community, and the cure is in truth, right action, peace, love, and non-violence. This is the body of Swami that lives in us. There is healing love in these virtues. When we see families and communities healed, what can we do but cherish Swami’s priceless gis, which reside in ourselves. Once we grasp that healing comes from this special medicine, what else is there to do but show our gratitude by practicing and protecting these precious sacred values.
Once Swami told me that not until man knows his own value will anything else find it’s real worth. Here Swami shows us what is most important. Can individual and world peace come from this path of being good in thought, word, and deed? Yes! This is Swami’s simple message. In this moment of devotion and inspiration I prayed, “Dear Swami, give me the strength and steadfastness to be an instrument of your loving values.”
Just as Swami’s love has influenced our children to be good and act correctly, so too our love can transform our communities. Swami tells us that practice is essential, and when we bring these virtues alive through practice, we will transform ourselves into loving beings and our communities into places of peace.
