artists?
scratch the surface and get poor results, or if you take the time to dive in and learn the tricks and tips, then I feel you can make progress as an artist far quicker.
Finally, what can we expect in the future from
HDUK?
S: As the podcast is new it will be one of our main focuses this year and we’re really excited to keep improving it over time. We already have ideas on some changes going forward but want to do this gradually so the podcast can grow, instead of any quick changes.
C: We also feel the podcast will give us a platform to launch other projects from, one of which we’re working on now. We can’t say any more than that yet sorry. Other than we hope to announcesomethinginthenextfewmonths.We’dlovetotake our HDUK Arenas to new events, so we’ll be looking out for more opportunities there, but we’re also going to be very selective at anything we take on. We’d rather go for quality, not quantity.

C: Thank you for having us!
C: When things were at their peak with multiple events to go to every weekend we were averaging 140 bookings a year which isn’t far off 3 gigs a weekend. Once things started to decline it was more like 3 a month, if that. The one positive thing that came from that is I found a new motivation to improve my music production skills, which I’ve been working hard on since this things changed. I know if we were still doing 3 gigs a weekend then I wouldn’t have achieved what I have with my music, so I am very grateful of that.
What do you think about social media and have you had to up your game as an artist withhoweasyandaccessiblethesceneisfor
new talent?
S: Social media has so many pros and cons. It puts all information at your fingertips with updates every second of every day, but can also be a productivity killer if you’re not careful, especially if you fall in the trap of the ‘endless scroll’.
C: It has made things easier for new talent coming through, but I see very few standing out as they don’t take time to learn how to make the most of it. As with everything you can either
