When it comes to taking time out, how do you
de-stress? Have you any other hobbies
outside of music?
Most of my time spent outside studio is with my son he’s almost three now so not sure if that is de-stressing, but I’m the same as everyone really. I like hanging out with family and friends, playing/watching football, TV etc.
Is there anyone in the scene you would really
like to work with?
Eric Prydz for me is the best producer out there by a mile and has been for the last few years. I would love to be a fly on the wall for an hour in his studio.
Any massive collaborations in the pipeline
that we can look forward to hearing?
Yes I’ve got some really big collaborations on the way that I’m really excited about. One with Marco V, which is out in December. Myself, Darren & Audrey Gallagher are also working on another track together which is sounding great but it's still early stages.
Ive also signed a couple of originals to FSOE (Future Sounds of Eygpt) main label which have been going down well in my sets of late, so lots of new tracks coming soon.
What’s your favourite sub-genre of Trance,
are you an all-round Trancer or have you a
specific favourite?
I’m an all-round Trancer. I love it all from progressive to tech, uplifting to psych. I listen to it all to get ideas for my own tracks, which I’d like to think comes across in my tracks.
I don’t like sticking to one specific style, what’s the point? How can you evolve as a producer if you’re just rolling tracks off that sound the exact same as your last one. Personally I couldn’t do that, I need to change things up or I get bored easily.
What kind of new sounds and influences are
you experimenting with at the moment?
I’m really loving the tech trance sound at the minute as heard in my last tracks ‘Curtain Call’ and ‘Splinter’. I think you will hear a lot more of those type of tracks this year from me as well as uplifting & psych, and I’ve been working on some slower, techier stuff lately. Lots of new material coming really soon.
