Surprisingly, the duo Cat Dealers from Rio de Janeiro conquered a place on the list for the first time. The project, which was voted as the 74th position, has just two years on the road. The duo Pedro and Lugui already accumulate successes on platforms like youtube, Shazam and Beatport, including their hits and notable appearances in events like Kaballah and Rock In Rio. The Vintage Culture, in turn, also stood out this year. Lukas Ruiz, born in Mato Grosso do Sul and the name behind the project, climbed 23 positions on the world ranking and achieved the 31st position this year.
It is not surprising that DJ Alok (from the state of Goiás) is the great Brazilian representative on the list of the DJ Magazine. The Brazilian DJ, which has revolved around music since he was 10 years old due to the influence of his family of artists of the electronic scene, doesn’t stop breaking world records with his productions, appearing as the leader in the ranking of the 30 most listened Brazilian artists abroad. In addition, Alok has numbers such as the audience of more than 10 million listeners per month in the digital platforms.
Alok has toured countries scattered all over the world, in addition to playing in major festivals and stages. He is known popularly known by his style "Brazilian Bass". In 2016, the artist ended up attracting important achievements, such as contracts signed with the Dutch record company Spinning Records and William Morris (WME), considered a great agency of artists of the world. Already in 2017, Alok traveled to China and won great exposure in the US and Europe, with an average of 4 tours in each continent and approximately 15 shows in each region, in addition to joining the casting artists Warner Music.
For lovers of electronic music who are visiting Brazil in 2018, some festivals have already confirmed their lineup with attractions from all over the world. Like the Lollapalooza Festival, which will be held between March 23rd and 25th, with attractions such as the Brazilian DJ Alok, the Dutch DJ Hardwell and the French DJ Snake, in São Paulo.
