Phraktal And Klutte - Limit Your Contact [BakroomRecords]
Phraktal are Dublin based Duo John O’Dwyer & Christian Boshell who collaborated with Brian Cody “Kluute” to team up for this magical journey “Limit Your Contact”. It starts off with some big synth sound, slowly building with a very ambient like feel incorporating lots of different sounds and effects to come up with this gem. We can hear a subtle echo effect build with a stunning gated vocal to deliver this sci-fi inspired off beat trip. Some other effects were created using the Virus TI and Output synths, with Ableton being used for programing & Pro Tools for some of the lighter touches. I for one cannot wait to hear the new Album. If the last album “Why 1 is One and 2 is Two” was anything to go by, which was journey within a journey of music intelligence, with each track telling story within a story, then watch out for more news on their impending second album due out for release on ICONYC music later in the year. Exciting times this year from the boys. Make sure to stay tuned. Phraktal & Kluute could be ones to watch this year!

Fideles–Cerchio [ExitStrategy]
A Solid Release on what is for me a Relatively new Label for me in Exit strategy. Fideles however seems to have cemented their sound with Releases on Pokerflat & Afterlife with standout tracks for me that include “Hadar”& “Avior” & “Kalotypse” “Cerchio” is following suit with this almost tribal like feel to their productions along with some Very catchy effects no doubt they have spent time Perfecting their sound with beautiful Melodies and catchy sounds throughout. Watch out for the Guys in 2018 as they have gigs all across Europe.

Sasha - Singularity
[Late Night Tales]
Sasha in my opinion is arguably the best Dj in the world selling out his Re-freacted shows in London and Manchester with tracks in 2017 “Out of Time” “Do The Maff” “GamOvR” & “Trigonometry” “Singularity” is Right up therewith all these tracks. Singularity kicks right from the off the pace is set this track is a complete Monster reminds me so much of “GameOvr” (1st time I heard that well Wow) I can definitely feel that Acid house Feel to this track maybe some 303/909 effects lots of Quirky sounds as would expect from every Sasha Production. It breaks half way through only to draw us Further with catchy Claps & Strings all the Time Building and encapsulating even further. There is almost a Tribal foot stomping feel to this track its Magic and I love it! Looking forward to seeing him Live in Fabric London June 30th. All Hail Sasha!

Jay Lumen – Emphasis [Octopus Recordings]
Jay with dozens of releases on labels including ToolRoom, Footwork & Relief this latest release on Octopus “Emphasis” is a Monster number 9 doesn’t do it any justice but look at the chart as a Whole “Emphasis” Delivers and does not let up with little Vocals Stabs in Incorporates that Acid 303/909 while staying true to the real Techno sound we associate with Jay. The other track on the release “Balance is much the same however Emphasis wins the Vote this time round.
