The Purge - Evolution [Spoontech]
The Italians The Purge strike again with this slamming track called Evolution on the mighty Spoontech label.
It starts with some mad shuffling hats and a massive distorted screech that is just madness. The breakdown hits in with a hard as nails breakbeat and big distorted gnarly sounds that builds to an almighty climax with a big gated kick and some nasty distorted synthwork. It then ends with an unexpected break beat build which just ends the track perfectly. The track is an absolute monster that would definitely scare the kids. What a tune this is! The guys at Spoontech have done it again!!!!

Various Artists - GT Digital EP [GT Digital]
UK based label GT Digital brings out the big guns, with this hard hitting EP full of Hard Trance goodness.
The first track comes courtesy of Dark Sector called Pure Power. The track as the name suggests brings the power especially in the mid intro the percussion stabs and acid make this track, however, I feel the reverb on the piano in the break let's the track down slightly. Next up is the mighty duo of the Highfish guys Dave Spinout & TrickyDJ with their incredible outing entitled 'Listen'. This track for me ticks all the boxes, the track flows really well and has a unique new feel that definitely shows innovation in an over saturated scene. The third track on the EP is from Hakka & Pete Kingwell it brings a harder affair to proceedings, with a brilliant intro and some nice attacking synths. However, even though the track is not bad; I feel that the track could have been so much better with some fine detail in places. The final track is Rhythm by Inertial System and my does this deliver. Just as the title suggests this is full of Rhythm bringing in some relentless stabs, snarling acid and great percussion. For me Dave Spinout & TrickyDJ - Listen is the track that just tops it for me with Inertial System - Rhythm a close second. Great Job!

A*S*Y*S - GTA II Sampler [FE Records]
The German producer A*S*Y*S is back with this absolute bomb on FE Records.
The first track we are treated to is Sad Euphoria which combines some really great Trance sounds and other worldly synths. The synth work on this track is beautifully done with such a great drive and an emotional break that builds to a great climax. The second track is Acid Space (Mindflux Remix) this producer as some of you may know is making quite a name for himself in the Hard Trance scene and this track is no exception. The track builds with some nice stabs and portemento action that serves up a perfect dish for Hard Trance. The break is so atmospheric and really spacey that builds to a darker edge, everything I look for in a track this has just hit the nail on the head for me. Next up is the track 'H on A' this is more of a Hardstyle affair with big distorted synths, blistering kicks and the Acid in this is done to perfection. All the tracks offer something new and different, more like this please! https://soundcloud.com/asys/asys-sad-euphoria
Nostic - Ascension [Fatal Energy]
The head honcho of Hyper Reality, Nostic, joins Fatal Energy for an all out assault of Hard Trance. The track starts off with big marching battle drums and some great string action. The track then continues with a barrage of kicks and bass that are absolutely pounding. The breakdown starts with some great dark pads accompanied by a plucky appeggiator that just fit perfectly with each other. The track then continues to a rip roaring climax filled with massive saw leads, dirty bass and gritty acid. For those Hard Trance heads that like their tracks dirty and dark this is for you!!!

The Sixth Sense vs. Tim Hidgem - More Or Less [Hyper Reality]
The man behind the Hard Trance event Religion Tim Hidgem returns to Hyper Reality; this time teaming with Netherlands Hard Trance maestro The Sixth Sense. The Original track entitled 'More Or Less' brings some really refreshing vibes filled with some really spacey noises, a pounding kick, big reverse bass and great percussion.
The breakdown starts with a nice filtered pad, blending in a synth that is reminiscent of an 80's movie soundtrack. Then in comes a big Saw lead that gives the track so much power the synth is absolutely perfect. Next we have the Renegade System Remix which just goes to another level combining so much energy and atmosphere. The track is filled with punchy kicks, massive filtering synths and an unbelievable amount of drive. Great stuff! http://classic.beatport.com/release/more-or-less/2262030
