You have to love the power of the internet, when this dropped in my inbox I was instantly asking Facebook who were the people behind it and within minutes was linked to their page to show appreciation. The friendly duo from Oosterhout very kindly provided an awesome guest mix for RTE 2FM and Gen X 001 instantly made me salivate at the mouth. Title track Generation X is a fierce ode to 90s Rave that has been championed left right and centre, and rightly so! The oldskool anthem 'So 1992' also does the damage, in fact, the whole EP does. This will fly out when released!
TOP TUNE //
Surgeon - Luminosity Device [Dynamic Tension]
Birmingham's biggest export of all things Techno manages to deliver another inspiring album that defies convention in the form of 'Luminosity Device'. Pushing his modular love to new heights, this album has some straight up driving numbers, as well as some more experimental tracks, but does so with a huge level of intricacy and production finesse. Standout tracks for me are; Earth Sinking Into Water and Eight Wrathful Deities. Definitely worth checking.

AnD - AnD 003 [AnD]
The Mancunian experts of techno reinforce their 'Go Hard or Go Home' motto with four absolutely lethal tracks on the third 'AnD' installment of their own label. As regular readers have come to expect from AnD, lethal kick drums and synths taking influence from when techno had some oomph to it, are in full force here. AnD delivers pitch bent synth work and intensity that really does the damage, with 'Transit' and 'Manchester' being favourites here.

Black Asteroid - Slam Dance [Last Gang]
When the remixes of a release boast names such as Regis, The Horrorist and Headless Horseman, you know you are in for something special. All three on the new Last Gang from Black Asteroid really have their place. Regis delivers an experimental but pacey reworking with distortion at the ready, while The Horrorist keeps things lively with some detuned synths that work wonderfully, with Headless Horseman's remix of 'Sun Explodes' being dark, atmospheric and lending a nod to EBM. Quality.

Remco Beekwilder - Nightlife [Emerald]
After patiently waiting for this remarkable effort ever since hearing Dax J play the track 'Interelectric' at Awakenings last October, it certainly doesn't disappoint. He continues his unmistakable sound of uncompromising techno geared only for the headstrong, but does it here in style. All four tracks are more than worthy of a spin but Interelectric and Packard Plant stand out here, with frenetic percussion and monster synths aplenty.

Christian Smith - Synergy (Remixed) [Tronic]
Tronic return with another masterpiece, When Synergy first touched down, I loved the variety of tracks on offer, with the electro number Living In A Vacuum being a favourite. Here it is remixed by Umek under his Zeta Reticula alias, that gives it some supercharged power. Petter B's awesome reworking of 'Jungle Life' is a headstrong number too, as is the Oliver Deutschmann remix of System, but that doesn't mean the other efforts by Shall Ocin, Jam El Mar and Agaric aren't worth a spin either.
