Protec creates a sensation in Dubai
Protec provided full production infrastructure for the 4th edition of the renowned Sensation, the most travelled electronic music event in the world. This mega event in the Dubai calendar attracted crowds all dressed in white to see some of the most celebrated DJs in the world. Called on by our client Envie events, we provided industry standard video, audio, lighting, backline, as well as scenic and staging elements and a full rigging service.
There were a few challenges. Triangular screens led to creative rigging solutions. Meydan racecourse had horses stabled during the setup days so the crew were limited to certain time slots in order to avoid distressing the horses and keep noise levels under control. There were no room for mistakes as there was a race meeting the day before show day so everything had to be wrapped up and ready to go leaving no rehearsal day. Protec’s experience was fully utilised and they worked through the challenges with ease.
