 OPERATING ON THE MOST
PRISTINE LAKES IN THE WORLD
Evinrude E-TEC engines were the very first direct fuel injection engines allowed on the pristine waters of the Bodensee, an alpine lake bordered by Germany, Austria and Switzerland.
This event was celebrated on the shores of the Bodensee in Radolfzell, Germany. Members of the DLRG Deutsche Lebens Rettungs Gesellschaft (German life rescues company) were in attendance together with leaders from the governments of Germany, Austria and Switzerland. Bodensee covers 64 km (40 miles) in length and 13.6 km (8.5 miles) in width and is Europe’s third largest lake. The Lake Constance region, situated on the Rhine between Germany, Austria, and Switzerland is one of the most beautiful and spectacular landscapes in Central Europe. More than 4.5 million people in the region rely on the regulations to protect the lake, as it is a major source of their drinking water.
