Message from Coordinator of Conference Services for the Eastern Region of Iota Phi Theta Fraternity, Inc.
Grace and peace to the brothers of the Mighty Eastern Region. I am ecstatic to share in the anticipated spring 2021 conference!
In spite of the pandemic and the inability to gather in person, the team has assembled your feedback from the last two regional meetings to provide you a virtual experience that you will not forget. I have heard many brothers suggest they are “ALL ZOOMED OUT!” It is my optimism that each of you will find a frat|Life|Zoom balance during our three- day experience together.
We realize this modality of convening has replaced human interaction, so we have decided to bring a personal touch to each of you. By now you should have received your special care package. Please take a moment to open your package. You will find some helpful items you can use during the conference. We ask that you wear your conference T-Shirt on Friday (April 16, 2021) and professional dress for Saturday, April 17, 2021, during our time together. We hope that you appreciate the contents, and it provides you with a sense of togetherness during the conference.
“Marching Together into Greatness” is more than a conference theme, it is the embodiment of who the Mighty Men of the Eastern Region is. We have faced a world pandemic and many other life challenges, yet we have or overcoming daily because we have stayed the course and preserved our rightful place in this auspicious organization.
During this conference, you will find a daily theme that will move us in an upward posture to march forward with empowering sessions for life’s obstacles, special guest to share in the state of Iota, a moment of a total healthy lifestyle, some entertainment for all to enjoy and so much more. We have even added two exciting after-dark events that are sure to engage you virtually and for the first time a free virtual college fair.
Anticipate a conference as you have never experienced before in Iota Phi Theta Fraternity, Inc. Over the next three days, I ask that you keep an open mind about the platform, prepared to engage with your fellow frat brothers, young and seasoned, and a willingness to embrace this new place in Iota.
Shake off your yesterday and prepare for the next virtual experience that you will be talked about for years to come. See you in the next virtual conference room!
