Lacie Hirayama, patent agent in the Intellectual Property Practice Group. Lacie assists attorneys in preparing and prosecuting U.S. and foreign patent applications in the chemical, pharmaceutical, medical device and nanotechnology arenas. She has a Ph.D. from UCSC in Organic Chemistry; her research was focused on the development of novel asymmetric methodologies for the synthesis of chiral small molecules.

Caryn Horner is an associate in
the Labor and Employment practice group. Caryn defends employers
in wage and hour class actions, as
well as discrimination, harassment, retaliation, wrongful termination and other employment-related litigation claims. Caryn also counsels employers regarding employee policies and handbooks, employee contracts, employee discipline and termination and other employment issues.
