   Kinetic Energy
• Temperature is the measure of the average knetic energy.
This is a very, very, very common Regents question. Memorize it.
• The higher the temperature, the higher the kinetic energy. The lower the temperature, the lower the kinetic energy.
• A THERMOMETER measures temperature in 3 forms: 1. Fahrenheit (F) (not used in chemistry)
2. Celsius (C)
3. Kelvin (K)
