Finding the Molecular Formula from the Empirical Formula
You will be given the empirical formula and the mass of the molecular formula. You will have to find the molecular formula based on this info. How?
1. Find the mass of the empirical formula.
2. Divide: Mass of the molecular formula’s mass Mass of empirical formula
3. Multiply the equation by the answer to step 2.
