   Electrolyte
ELECTROLYTE: Substance that dissolves in water and causes the water to conduct electricity
The mobile ions in the solution are what cause the water to conduct electricity.
There are 3 types of electrolytes:
1. Acids
2. Bases
3. Salts (Substances with ionic bonds that do not
have H or OH in it)
There are many Regents questions on this topic.
We will learn about common acids and bases on Reffy, Tables K and L.
