Nucleus
NUCLEUS: Positive, dense center of the atom
Nucleus:
1. Positively charged
2. Holds most of the atom’s mass
3. Contains the protons and neutrons
NUCLEONS: particles in the nucleus
• Protons and neutrons are both NUCLEONS,
because they are found in the atom’s nucleus.
Nucleons are particles in the
nucleus.
