When you acknowledge and value the wealth you already have and create a feeling of abundance, you plant the seed for manifesting financial success in the physical world. The Universe pays attention to your vibration of abundance and responds in its own time. As Wayne Dyer has pointed out, there's nothing to be gained in standing over your garden with a stopwatch, fretting if a seedling doesn't peek through the earth immediately. If you become impatient and worried about whether your seedlings will grow and you pull up the shoots to check on them, you'll kill them. Panic, fear, lack, and other negative emotions change your polarity and cause you to repel, not attract, abundance and to uproot your plants before they can bear fruit.
One of my clients, Dave, was in sales, and whenever he started feeling scared that he wouldn't be able to meet his monthly sales quota, he would try too hard to sell his product to people. His too-strong approach backfired, because his potential customers sensed that he was motivated by his own need to make money, not by a genuine desire to help them meet their need to spend their money wisely on a product that had value for them.
