A few points I'd make:
1. This demonstrates how flexible Song Maps can be; although the original Map was a VCVCBC structure, the music I wanted to set the lyric to was much more like a hymn. By having short Verses, a double Verse to begin with and turning the Bridge into Verse 4 it became a slightly different form–VVCVCVCC–which worked well as a modern hymn. There was even space for a musical interlude on the recording before Verse 4 to create a little space as the song reoriented to
