Director of Health Information
Janelle Larsen is the Health Information Management Director and HIPAA Privacy Officer at Bingham Memorial Hospital. She has 20 years experiences in the health care industry including working as a Business Office Manager/ HIPAA Privacy Officer at an Ambulatory Surgery Center, Manager at a Practice Management company, and a Business Manager in a hospital setting. She developed an interest in health care while attending Idaho State University where she received a Bachelor of Science in Health Care Administration. During her early career in healthcare, she received a coding certification as a Certified Outpatient Coder with the American Academy of Professional Coders. She has been a member since 1997.
While working at the Surgery Center, she became the President of the Ambulatory Surgery Association in Idaho. She was able to participate in many lobbying efforts at the State and Federal level and provide leadership statewide for all the Ambulatory Surgery Centers. She currently is responsible for the hospital and clinic medical records and coding. Her department and processes are an integral part to the revenue cycle at BMH. She enjoys all types of recreational activities with her favorites being mountain biking and fly fishing. She enjoys spending time with her family
which includes two boys.
