• Surrender of militia/maoist sympathizers continues in Malkangiri and due to operation by the SFs, dismantling of CMAS and loss of local supports, maoists in Narayanpatna area have considerably weakened.
• In order to regain the control, forming of United Front in AOBSZC is being embarked upon in 2016 in Narayanpatna area under leadership of RK along with 3rd CRC under Suresh.

Targeted killings in the name of Police informers and supporters is likely.
ANY MAJOR MAOIST BUILD UP NOTICED
On 30 December, RK (CCM), Uday (SCM) along with 40 other cadre were spotted beside a nala near Korhigondi village under PS- Chitrakonda, Malkangiri Distt.

No Maoists violent incident was reported since Feb’2016 onwards to till date.

CROSS BORDER EFFECTS
• Stray inputs have also suggested that CPI (Maoist) cadres were noticed recently in civvies moving/entering from Mayurbhanj district of Odisha reportedly into bordering areas under PS Nayagram of Paschimi Medinipur, and some cadres from have plans to infiltrate along the Gopiballavpur axis in district Paschimi Medinipur as concentration of SFs is lesser in these areas.
