SPECIAL OLYMPICS
The Buffalo Grove Police Department continued its commitment in raising funds for Special Olympics Illinois and had a record-breaking year in 2022. Officers and staff members organized and participated in several fundraising events, raising over $69,100.00 in donations.
Annual Torch Run
Members of the Buffalo Grove Police Department and their family members participated in the annual Torch Run. Special Olympian Aaron Drescher carried the torch for two miles, through Buffalo Grove and passed it on to members of the Wheeling Police Department.
Palatine Special Olympics Polar Plunge
BGPD participated in the Palatine Special Olympics Polar Plunge, raising over $7,000.00!
Cop on Rooftop
2022 Dunkin Cop on Rooftop raised over $3,000.00!

Special Olympics Five-O
Buffalo Grove Police Department participated in the Special Olympics Five-O. The vehicle was driven by Officer Lawyer and placed 3rd out of 22 other drivers. Officer McMillon’s help, BGPD was the 5th highest fundraiser out of 31 other agencies participating in the event.
