Strip Sets:
1. Sew [4] strip sets with each set using [1] 1-1/20 strip of Word Toss, Teal and [1] 1-1/20 strip of Vintage Postmark fabric. Press seam toward the teal.
2. Cut into [26] 1-1/20 units
3. Sewpairswithlightcontrastintheupperleftand
bottom right corners. Make [13] 4-patch units.
4. Cut remaining dark/light strip sets into [8] 5-1/20
pieces and [18] 3-1/20 pieces.
5. Sew [3] strip sets consisting of dark/light/dark
1-1/20 strips. Press seams towards the dark.
6. Cut strip sets into [8] 5-1/20 pieces and [18]
3-1/20 pieces.
Frameless Block, make [4]:
For the [4] frameless blocks you will need:
[8] — Vintage Postcard 5-1/20 squares
[8] — Vintage Postmark 4-1/20 squares
(or AMOSH Collectible Store Quilt Blocks)
[8] — Word Toss, Teal 1-1/20 3 4-1/20 strips [8] — 5-1/20 dark/light/dark strip set units [4] — 4-patch units
[8] — 5-1/20 dark/light strip set unit 6
Section One and Three (Frameless Block)
1. Sew 5-1/20 dark/light/dark strip set unit to right edge of 5-1/20 postcard square.
2. Sew 1-1/20 3 4-1/20 Word Toss, Teal strip to bottom edge of 4-1/20 square then join to right edge of dark/light/dark as shown.
3. Make [2] of this section for each of [4] blocks. One will be turned upside down yielding a top and a bottom section.
Sections 1 and 3
Section Two (Frameless Block)
Make [1] each of [4] blocks.
1. Sew a dark/light 5-1/20 unit to each side of a four patch as shown on page 40.
