Module 3 : Applying and Showing
Hemispheres Think Write Handwriting Programme is not a phonics programme, however it would be remiss if the programme did not acknowledge that the symbols the children are learning to write have a specific sound. Auditory processing is a strong component of the writing process and therefore it is important children can link together an animal sound that they hear and access the corresponding letters whilst also being able to hear a letter sound and identify the symbol.
Hearing an animal sound and being able to recall the letters that belong to the animal.
Hearing a letter sound and being able to recall the visual symbol that matches.
