OCP NIC 3.0
The Open Compute Project (OCP) is a collaborative community focused on redesigning hardware technology to efficiently support the growing demands on computing infrastructure, including data center products like the global network of servers, storage devices, and switches that are linked together to enable the efficient and ultra-fast data transmission of the internet as we know it. The group recently released the OCP Network Interface Card (NIC) 3.0 specification to support the increased network capacity, flexibility, and throughput required for both today’s data demands and tomorrow’s hyperscale data centers.
