Narine Arakelian is a bright artist who devoted her very promising talent to explore the ocean of arts.
Narine is Armenian artist was born in Siberia and graduated from Painting Department at the cele- brated State Surikov Institute, Moscow in 2015. She studied under the mastership of Aidan Sa- lakhova, Sergey Ossovsky, Yuri Shishkov. After graduating Surikov’s Institute Narine made a step towards booming new media sector of arts and received an internship at the Digital Arts Depart- ment in Los Angeles Academy of Fine Arts in 2015/2016.
Following Narine Arakelian’s phenomenal trium- ph as the headliner of the Armenian pavilion of the 58th Venice Biennale earlier this year, she showcased her work for the first time in Miami, at the Scope Art Fair. Arakelian held a prime posi- tion at the Art Fair amongst the best of show, and was easily amongst the most successful at the fair, both critically and commercially. At the Scope Art Fair, Narine Arakelian displayed two of her fa- vourite pieces of solo show “The Pharos Flower” (Venice, Italy, 2019). The first was her LOVE painting - is an impressive artwork of handcrafted golden silk with LOVE in bold letters throughout. The canvas explores what human nature is at its core, are we beings that moved by programming or by passion? An art collector who was present at the Scope Art Fair said the following. “Her art is fluid. Personal yet with a universality that con- nects to anyone. It was an emotional experience watching her work.”
Whilst showing her art at Scope, Arakelian pro- duced live performance art at the famous Versace Villa, the former home of the late Gianni Versace, also known as The Villa, Casa Casuarina. The ar- tist draped herself in her artwork and performed whilst being captured in photographs by another well known female photographer.
Narine Arakelian will be exhibiting during the up- coming Frieze exhibitions in Los Angeles and New York later this year and many more art events.
