I’m Batman, a superhero co- created by artist Bob Kane and writer
Bill Finger and published by DC Comics. The character made his first appearance in Detective
Comics (May, 1939). I am the secret identity of Bruce Wayne.
I originated from an incident in Bruce's childhood; after witnessing the murder of my parents Dr. Thomas Wayne
and Martha Wayne, I swore vengeance against criminals, an oath tempered by a sense of justice. I
train myself physically and intellectually and crafts a bat-inspired persona to fight
crime.
