Q: What is a background print / fill?
A: An area that is 50% or greater of the artwork.
Q: How deep can you etch?
A: The standard etch depth is .002” but our state-of-the-art system can etch to depths of .006” depending on
the type and thickness of material.
Q: After an order is placed, when can I expect a proof?
A: You can expect a proof within one or two days from date of order.
Q: Can you print any color? Are there extra fees for custom colors?
A: Yes, we can print colors per the Pantone, or we can custom mix colors to your specific requirements. Occasionally there are extra charges if we have to buy ink from our suppliers matched to a customer’s material and finish.

Q: What is the difference between a copy change and a personalization charge?
A: Plates of the same size and manufacturing process can be combined for quantity pricing. If all the layouts are the same copy, no additional charges apply. If there is varying copy, a copy change, or personalization charge will apply.
• A personalization charge applies when up to (3) lines of copy change (ex: name, date, title, etc.).
• A copy change charge applies when more than (3) lines have variable copy, when the entire art layout changes between plates, or if there are logo changes on multiple plates.
Q: What is the smallest letter that can be used?
A: Using Gemini Times New Roman, Bookman Old Style or Myriad, minimum height is 1/4”for letters in all uppercase, 3/8” for text that uses both uppercase and lowercase letters.
