Gemini LED Lighting
As LEDs continue to evolve and provide even more options for signs, Gemini has also expanded its offerings of lit letters.
We started by developing GemLite Formed Channel Letters and have now added Precision Cut LUXE letters, hi-resolution printed panels, and Cast Letters and Plaques that can all be lit with LEDs.
All lit letter construction options are available with or without LEDs - most can be Face Lit or Halo Lit. For the first time, pricing for these lit products is now available in our Illuminated section. Below are additional details related to our UL Listing, wiring and installation of lit products.
Light your letters with LEDs
Through the use Low Voltage LEDs, Gemini’s Gemlite, Fabricated, Cast, LUXE and hi-res printed panels can be populated with LEDs, to provide a rich lit effect. Order an LED package and you will receive the following:
• Sign bodies formed or fabricated for optimal reflectivity
• UL Listed Sign Section labels for all sign bodies and power supplies
• Installation of UL approved LEDs to sign bodies (choose from Red, White, Wm White, Green or Blue)
• Installation of module support blocks to insure LED module bond to sign bodies
• Balancing and testing of LED lights to assure even lighting of letters
• Lead wires or cables prepared for easy attachment to power supply lines - standard 36”long
• Lead wire holes drilled into sign bodies (location per your specifications)
• Face attachment holes drilled (when required) - plus painted fastening screws supplied
• UL required weep holes in all sign body drops
• Appropriate 60 watt power supplies to power complete set(s)
• Wiring diagrams and instruction guidelines for Licensed Electrician use • Manufacturer’s 4-year warranty on LEDs and power supplies
When ordering an LED package, your letters will be ready to hand over to a licensed electrical contractor to complete the final wiring and installation. Since installation conditions vary, you may need a few additional supplies (not supplied by Gemini) to complete your sign.
Not included in the LED package:
• Extra electrical wire and wire connectors to connect letters together (if needed)
• Raceway (if required) and hardware for mounting letters to raceway • Connections for 110/220/277 volt side of the transformer
• Electrical enclosures (if required for your installation)

INSTALLING YOUR OWN LEDS
If you choose to install LEDs yourself, into any Gemini letter, we recommend the following:
• Order letters designed to be LED lit (in the Illuminated section of this catalog)
• Always match your face colors with the LED colors. See P. 166 for color combinations
• Use only Low Voltage, High Quality, Low-profile LED systems in any plastic letter
Choosing LEDs
• Investigate the manufacturer to establish their stability in the market. Most legitimate manufacturers have an established warranty period and sell their systems through sign supply distributors.
• Although LED systems designed for non-signage applications may be cheaper, they create problems at installation. For the greatest flexibility, consistency, and longevity, select a system designed with signs in mind.
