Dr. Luther founded Luther, Smith & Small, a firm specializing in under- writing IPO’s. This company later merged with W.R. Lazard & Co, an asset management company with more than $2 billion under manage- ment. In 1994, Dr. Luther founded Goldleaf Capital Partners, a Los Angeles-based venture capital firm thatspecializesinprovidingtheseed capital necessary to prove the eco- nomics of various start-up and ear- ly-stage businesses. Dr. Luther was also a founding Board member of the leading venture capital fund Kline Hawkes California and the small business investment fund Kline Hawkes California SBIC, which was licensed by the SBA in 1995. In July of 2016 Dr. Luther founded Gracecare Medical holdings in or- der to properly scale and manage
his numerous holdings in the health care industry. Dr. Luther received a Bachelor of Science degree in Chem- istry from North Carolina A&T Uni- versity, a DDS degree from Howard University, and a Master’s degree in PublicHealthfromJohnsHopkins University.
Dr. Luther currently owns a residen- tial care facility that is occupied by level 4 residents. His personal expe- rience locating, outfitting, licensing, staffing, and operating the most complex level of care facility gives us great confidence in the future suc- cess of this venture.
