Expression is another method of extraction that is used for fruits such as lime, orange and grapefruit (Tisserand, 2020). During this process the rind of the fruit is punctured resulting in the release of the essential oil to be collected (Tisserand, 2020). Most essential oils are commercially produced for the fragrance industry (Tisserand, 2020).
