4.2.2 STEADY PERFORMERS
Our research has identified two aspects of the cruise Duty & Tax Free channel which could be considered ‘steady performers’, i.e. those which do not appear to present a barrier to purchasing but have the potential to be enhanced to drive a higher level of purchase propensity going forward.
The two steady performing areas are; product displays, and staff service.
Perceptions surrounding these two areas are already positive. However, these two areas have significant potential to not only drive future purchasing but also drive up-trading. Brand owners and store operators should therefore look to build on this existing positivity to drive an increased perception of the attribute. This is particularly the case with staff service, which should be considered a key strength and potential sales tool within the cruise retail channel when looking to attract Asian customers.
