GLASS MUSEUM PENANG
A good place to learn about glass making, creating your own glass souvenir, take photos with glass-themed 3D art and shop for items made with quality glass items. It was oficially opened on 8th October 2011 by former Chief Minister Lim Guan Eng. This museum is run by i-box Design Sdn.Bhd, a company specializing in decorative glasswork. We learned diferent techniques in creating glass like fused glass, sandblasted glass, stained glass and glass overlaying. The Glass Museum Penang has the longest glass artwork in Malaysia, as
certified by the Malaysia Book of Records. The artwork, carrying the 1Malaysia theme, measures 40 feet in length and 4.5 in height. We were able to make our own DIY glass where we will be given a piece of glass so that we can design our own. Then the glass is sandblasted and airbrushed with colour of our own choice.
