GLEN ELLYN
Glen Ellyn, a Western suburb of Chicago located twenty-three miles west of the Loop, is a picturesque village with New England flavor. Soft, rolling hills, mature trees and with beautiful Lake Ellyn as a focal point, it attracted early settlers as a resort town, as Lake Ellyn’s mineral spring water was thought to have therapeutic value. With main railroads stopping in-town, it quickly became a bedroom community for city commuters.
