LANDSCAPE NOTES
▪ The property has had signi cant landscape design work performed throughout the last 17 years. There are several “special” tree varieties and abundant planting beds that include a large variety of perennials and
open beds for annual color. There is a small raised bed vegetable garden.
▪ Major design enhancements were made in 2013 when the additional property was added. The custom metal planter on the east side is designed to compliment the garden gates and create a major focal point for viewing from the Kitchen, Family Room, upper patio, grill station and screened porch.
▪ Granite pavers for the walks were salvaged from the eastern property added in 2013. These stones are reportedly from ships that traveled the Great Lakes and were used as ballasts in the hull of the ships.
▪ The stone wall in the front and side yards is constructed from Indiana eldstone with a limestone cap and has a few accent elements mortared in including pieces of chimney cap (terra cotta) from the home that was previously on the site. Also mortared in are whimsical concrete pieces and stones from the foundation of the home that was previously on the site.
▪ A custom cedar garden panel is featured along
the north side of the rear yard and is highlighted with accent lighting and beautiful climbing perennial plants.
▪ Copper outdoor path lights and up lights create beautiful nighttime lighting.
▪ All exterior attached lighting xtures were replaced in 2009.
▪ Grounds have been maintained by Mariani Landscape, Prairie Path Pavers, Wingren Landscape, Hinsdale Nurseries, Apian Stone Works and Care of Trees. Landscape architectural plans are on site.
