The Gold Coast, situated on Chicago’s lakefront, is the city’s most prestigious neighborhood. The area initially expanded in the 1880’s with mansions, row houses, brownstones and apartments, many in the Georgian and Romanesque style. Art Deco and Art Moderne styles are also represented. North and East Lake Shore Drive affords the viewer some of the most magnificent views of the city’s beautiful shoreline. Today, the Gold Coast is home to many prominent Chicagoans and their families.
1430 North Lake Shore Drive was designed by Robert S. De Golyer and built by Lind Construction in 1927. The beautiful Indiana Limestone building has one residence on each level and each condo offers breathtaking views of Lake Michigan. Within walking distance, you will find upscale retail on Oak and Walton Street, Goudy Square Park, Lake Michigan beaches, lakefront walking and biking trails and world-class restaurants.
