The city of Dinuba and Alta Irrigation were also thanked for the district being ahead of schedule on application dates, a significant factor as the three sides work out logistics on potential road widenings and moving Alta ditches on the property.
“So far Alta Irrigation and the city of Dinuba have been playing ball with us,” Aaron Jacobson, project manager of SIM PBK, the architect company for the new high school, said. “It was very surprising because we have a tall order here and without them participating and staying active in this process, we’re not going to hit the deadline. So far we have every single submittal that needs to go.
"We're currently in the second submittal to Alta Irrigation and city of Dinuba. We’ve hit each of our deadlines so far and they’ve helped us as well. We’re anticipating responses from them.”
Jacobson also presented the latest master plans for the new high school. The face of the school will be an entry plaza to an administrative building with two two-story academic wings. Nearby will be a student union that will house a library, food court, student commons and culinary arts lab.
Also planned for the first phase are a gymnasium, locker room, visual and performing arts building, two temporary practice fields for athletics, portable buildings for additional classrooms and a substantial amount of parking. The first phase will account for 98 classrooms.
SIM PBK representatives also presented the board with the plans for the interior and exterior building designs. The primary building is planned to be beige with a cream trim - with additional Emperor green on the exterior including a metal roof and canopy.

“Inside and out, it’s a nice blend,” board member Ron Froese added.
The campus’ second phase would include an all-weather track, additional practice fields for baseball and softball, remaining CTE facilities, industrial technology building, an agricultural center and additional parking.
The third phase would consist of a football stadium and competition football field, competition baseball and softball fields, tennis courts, a pool and an additional gym.
The last remaining project is then a new performing arts theater.
