Randle extension well underway
Jesse M. Cerda
Jesse M. Cerda, a resident of Fresno, died July 27, 2018. He was 44.
He was a director of health information.
Surviving family members include a parent, three sisters and six nephews and nieces.
Funeral services will be held Friday, Aug. 3 at 10 a.m. at the Reedley Mennonite Brethren Church.
A graveside service will immediately follow at Smith Mountain Cemetery.
Dopkins Funeral Chapel is handling the funeral arrangements.

Monday, July 23
• Domestic violence was reported in the 1000 block of Veronica Ave at 1:38 a.m. Caller stated the dad was beating up mom.
• An injury traffic collision was reported in the area of El Monte Way and Road 64 involving a tan Kia and black Nissan at 6:22 a.m.
• A possible illegal fire was reported in the 1000 block of Whittaker Avenue at 7:43 a.m.
• Vandalism to a rental property was reported in the 600 block of North Whitney Avenue at 10:49 a.m.
• A transient issue was reported in the area of College Avenue and L Street at 10:50 a.m.
• Subjects in the alley in the 100 block of South L Street were harrasing customer who were dropping off donations at 2:25 p.m.
• Items were reported stolen from a storage unit in the 1800 block of East El Monte Way at 4:44 p.m.
• A reckless driver was reported in the area of Avenue 400 and Road 84 at 9:34 p.m.
• A person was reportedly causing a disturbance and refusing to leave in the 100 block of North McKinley Avenue at 9:39 p.m.
• A two-year old reportedly injured her wrist while trying to copy acrobatic movements in the 100 block of South Palm Drive at
Construction is well underway on the Randle Avenue extension on the east side of Dinuba. Crews are currently moving dirt to make way for a connecting road from Olive Way to Sierra Way. The city plans to extend Randle Avenue all the way south to Kamm Avenue.

The Dinuba Sentinel was established on Feb. 11, 1909, then succeeding the Orosi Offer which was established on April 21, 1902, and on Jan. 15, 1917, the Dinuba Advocate. The latter, when established, absorbed The Traver Advocate, which was established Oct. 9, 1875. The Kingsburg Sentinel, which was established on Feb. 20, 1947, consolidated with the Dinuba Sentinel on Aug. 28, 1951. Reaffirmed as a legal publication under California statute and Tulare County Civil Code No. 19523 on April 2, 1928.

causing a disturbance and refusing to leave in the 100 block of North McKinley Avenue at 9:39 p.m.
Tuesday, July 24
• A prowler was reported in the 400 block of East Nebraska Avenue at 1:33 a.m.
• Suspicious subjects were reported in the 700 block of North Nancy Avenue at 3:54 a.m.
• An injury traffic collision was reported in the 2200 block of East El Monte Way at 6:48 a.m. The incident occurred in the parking lot of Fit Republic and involved a gray vehicle and black Toyota.
• Chickens and roosters were reported in the 1400 block of Park Way at 8:11 a.m. Neighbor called complaining of not being able to sleep.
•Areportwasmadeofa suicidal male subject in the 9600 block of Avenue 400 at 4:42 p.m.
• A suspicious vehicle was reported in the 600 block of East Harvard Avenue at 9:59 p.m.
• A suspicious vehicle was reportedly parked in front of mailboxes in the area of Johnson and La Vista at 11:54 p.m.
Wednesday, July 25
• A tresspassing report was made in the 200 block of North Roberts Place at 12:36 a.m. Caller believed someone was in the backyard after hearing dogs bark.
• Domestic violence was reported in the 700 block of

• A suspicious vehicle was reported in the 600 block of Milsap Avenue at 11:33 a.m. A small red Toyota pickup was
reportedly casing the area.
• A fire in a backyard was reported in the area of Saginaw
and Hayes avenues at 1:01 p.m. • A loose rooster was reported in the 1100 block of Holden
Avenue at 1:54 p.m.
• A suspicious subject was
reported in the 1200 block of Brent Avenue at 2:02 p.m. Caller stated a male subject wearing black, an orange hat and glasses.
• A structure fire was reported in the 1100 block of North Villa Avenue at 3:56 p.m.
• A residential burglary was reported in the 700 block of South College Avenue at 5:02 p.m.
• An illegal fire was reported in the 1300 block of Park Way at 8:42 p.m.
• Two stray dogs were reportedly trying to attack people in the are of Jade and Ashley avenues. The report was made at 8:59 p.m.
• Vandalism was reported in the 400 block of North K Street at 11:56 p.m. Caller stated ex-wife broke a window to his vehicle.
Thursday, July 26
• Harrassment was reported in the 400 block of South L Street at 9:37 a.m. Caller reported someone was harrassing over Facebook.
• Shoes were reported stolen in the 800 block of West El Monte Way at 3:01 p.m. The thief was reported as a Hispanic male in his early 20's, last seen wearing
a light blue jersey, blue jeans and a black baseball cap.
•A reckless driver was reported in the area of Kamm and Crawford Avenues at 4:40 p.m. A white Saturn was reportedly driving at a high rate of speed and was last seen traveling southbound on College Avenue, from Kamm.
• A structure fire was reported in the 1400 block of West El Monte Way at 5:25 p.m.
Friday, July 27
• A suspicious vehicle was reportedly parked at Felix Delgado Park at 5:42 a.m. Caller stated a female was sleeping in a green sports utility vehicle for the past few days.
• Four calls were made to Animal Control regarding stray dogs from various locations, all within the nine o'clock hour. The calls accounted for seven dogs and a litter of puppies.
• A caller from Massachusetts stated someone used their credit card in Dinuba at 10:18 a.m.
• Identity theft was reported in the 600 block of Vernazza Avenue at 11:29 p.m.
• Hats were reported stolen from a business in the 1600 block of East El Monte Way at 3:05 p.m.. Suspects were reported as male and female, and the male was said to have tatoos on his face and was wearing a white t-shirt.
• A theft from the garden section at Walmart was reported at 4:31 p.m. The suspects were also reported as being male and female, with the male also having tatoos on his face and wearing
a white shirt. The female was reportedly wearing a black top and had a pony tail.
• Identity theft was reported in the 600 block of Euclid Avenue at 5:30 p.m.
• A grass fire with structures threatened was reported in the 41000 block of Road 128 at 6:01 p.m.
• A reckless driver was reported in the 1100 block of East Golden Way at 7:21 p.m. A silver Chrysler 300 was reportedly driving at a high rate of speed.
• Loud music was reported in the 1400 block of South College Avenue at 11:20 p.m.
• A report of shots fired was made in the 200 block of Bates Avenue at 11:25 p.m.
Saturday, July 28
• A noise complaint was made in the 1400 block of South College Avenue at 1:03 a.m. Subjects were reportedly being loud.
• Two females were reportedly seen inside a business in the 700 block of West El Monte Way filling totes with items. One female was reportedly wearing a burgandy tanktop with black
pants. It was reported at 11:17 a.m.
• A reckless driver caused a road rage incident on Avenue 416, near Ridgecreek Golf Course at 1:50 p.m. The drivers of the two vehicles were reportedly seen arguing at the location.
• A man was reportedly swinging a machete at Dickey Park at 3:01 p.m.
• An assault was reported in the 500 block of West El Monte Way at 4:28 p.m.
• A report of shots fired was made in the 1400 block of East Bolinger Way at 10:50 p.m. Six or seven shots were reportedly heard in the area.
Sunday, July 29
• Loud music was reported in the 1400 block of Villa Avenue at 1:04 a.m. A second report was made at 1:47 a.m.
• Cans were reported stolen from the back of a house in the 1200 block of Euclid Avenue at 11:20 a.m.
• A reckless driver was reported in the southbound lane of Road 72 at 11:29 a.m.

Keith Morrison Ellis
June 20, 1926 - July 21, 2018
Keith served in the army from 1944 to 1946. In 1952 Keith met Irene Metcalf while working at Davis & Morton in Cutler, Califor- nia.  ey married in 1953 and enjoyed 64 years of marriage.
Keith is survived by his son Eddie Ellis and wife Gayle, his grandchildren Shawn Edward Ellis,
Jerry Wyatt, Jr., Keri Wyatt, Laura McMurry, Leisa Wyatt, Laurie Jardine,
Jennifer Smither, numerous great and great great-grand- children, nieces and nephews.
Services will be held Friday, August 3, 2018 at Smith Mountain Cemetery at 11:00AM in Dinuba, California. Luncheon to follow at Martha’s Restaurant in Orosi.

The plan calls for more, and easier, access for residents in the area. In addition, the added infrastructure will allow for more subdivisions, thus bringing more families, and shoppers, to the east side of town.

It's part of the city's revitalization project on the east side of town. Mercantile Row, the shopping center on eastern edge of Dinuba, was once a thriving center - with anchors such as Save Mart and KMart pulling in a steady flow of customer traffic. Today, with those anchor stores gone, the center and area are in need of being revitalized.
