The Herald helps raise money for HOPE Sanger
This sleepy group of volunteers gathered in the pre-dawn darkness on Oct. 25 for coffee, a pep talk and a bundle of Sanger Herald newspapers and then went out and raised more than $1,600 for HOPE Sanger by selling a special edition of the Herald on busy downtown street corners. The Herald donated the papers and all proceeds went to HOPE Sanger.

The groundbreaking ceremony for the school district's new education complex took place Oct. 25 on 116 acres of land bounded by Fowler Avenue on the west, Armstrong Avenue on the east, Jensen Avenue on the south and Church Avenue on the north.
