The temperature at kickoff time for the game with Clovis East this Friday will likely be in the mid 80s.

It was hot, the air was smoky and it was a long drive to Hanford. Maybe that's why it seemed as though not as many Apache fans showed up as usual - just enough to fill all the visiting side seats, more than showed up on the Hanford side of the field and enough for the visitors' side concession stand to run out of hot dogs before the opening kickoff for the varsity game. The Apache band and cheer squad, below, set the pace for the rest of the Apache Nation, above, with lots of noise and making sure the team knew how much its efforts were appreciated. The Apaches took an early lead and never looked back, beating the Hanford Bullpups 48-28. The Apaches are back home in Tom Flores Stadium this week to host the Timberwolves of Clovis East in a televised game of the week. Set your DVR to record the game, show up at the stadium, then go home and watch the recording of yourself and the Apache win on TV.
