The temperature will likely be in the high 80s at kickoff time this Friday. With autumn only a little more than two weeks away, the evenings cool off fast once the sun starts going
down. Daytime temperature will remain in the mid to low 90s between now and Sept. 22 - the first day of autumn.

The Tribe, the student section, never stopped chanting, tomahawk chopping and cheering for the team last week. Their enthusiasm will be needed again this week when the Lemoore Tigers come to town.

The Apache Nation - fans who probably have younger fans in the student section or will have soon - was just as enthusiastic as the Tribe ... and maybe a little more critical of the officiating at last Friday's game.
The Pets of the Week are:
• Rosie, who is about a year old, gets along with ev- eryone, including other dogs and cats and loves to run and play; and,
• Kimbo, a 3-4 year old pitbull boy who gets along well with everyone and loves to walk and pose for pictures.
Still at the shelter waiting to be your new best friend are:
• Knight, an energetic shepherd/malamute mix who is probably not quite a year old;
• Isabellaisahappy pitbull lady with a perpetual smiley face who gets along with everyone and just wants to cuddle and give you kisses;
• Bruce is a high energy shepherd mix who is prob- ably not quite a year old and loves to romp and play; and,
• Tank, a big friendly pit- bull boy who gets along well with people and other dogs and likes to go on long walks; and,

adoption will vary.
