A graveside service for Mr. Oscar Woodson Mitchell of Sanger was held on Sept. 26 at Sanger Cemetery.
Mr. Mitchell, 73, died Sept. 20, 2018. He was an electric mo- tor repairman for Sanger Electric.
Victoria Gloria Leavitt
November 17, 1923 - September 21, 2018
Resident of San Jose
Victoria Villalobos Leavitt, 94, was born in Kingsburg, CA. in 1923, the 11th of 12 chil- dren of Joseph and Frances Vil- lalobos. A few years later, the family moved to Sanger, CA. a few miles away. Victoria gradu- ated from Sanger high school in 1941, and moved to San Francisco to begin training at St. Mary’s college of Nursing. After graduation, she met and married a young man in the navy, John Leavitt. They had 5 children.
The family lived in San Francisco for 7 years before mov- ing to San Leandro, where they lived for 10 years. Becoming self-employed meant a move to San Jose, where they have lived for 54 years. Victoria was a nurse in San Francisco, then in Castro Valley at Eden Hospital, and the school nurse at St. Christopher’s school in San Jose. After retiring from nurs- ing, she became the private legal secretary for her husband John’s Patent office for 25 years. She was an active member of the St. Christopher’s Ladies Guild, Catholic Daughters of America, and St. Christopher’s parish.
She is survived by her husband of 71 years, John; three children: David Leavitt, Mark Leavitt, and Ann Leavitt Farah- mand (Bob), grandchildren Christopher Walter (Terry); Dan (Danielle) and Nick Morton; John (Mehrak), James (Kim), and Robert (Kacey) Farahmand; Hillary (Doug) Kotar; and 12 great-grandchildren, and one great-great-grandson. She was predeceased by daughter Catherine, son Andrew, and granddaughter Josselyn Leavitt.
Family and friends are invited to attend a Vigil Service Wednesday, September 26, 2018 at 7 pm at LIMA-CAMPAG- NA-ALAMEDA MISSION CHAPEL, 600 S. Second Street, San Jose, CA 95112, with Visitation beginning at 5 pm.
Funeral Mass Thursday, September 27, 2018 at 12 pm at St. Christopher Church, 2278 Booksin Avenue (At Curtner), San Jose. Interment will take place on Friday, September 28,

Staff report
Two men have been charged with murder with special circumstances in the death of a Parlier resident Pedro "Tito" Garcia in April.
Miguel Corona, 26, of Parlier and Jose Luis Cervantes, 20, of Selma, suspected of being involved with Garcia's death by gunshot, are being held in the Tulare County Jail while awaiting trial in Tulare County Superior Court, said Sanger police chief Silver Ro- drigez.
Obituary
Sanger police became the lead investiga- tors after Garcia's body was found in a build- ing in the 13000 block of East Lincoln Ave., southeast of Sanger.
After an extensive investigation in collabo- ration with Tulare County Sheriff’s investiga- tors, the suspects were arrested on June 28.
The charges were filed on Sept. 12. Anyone with information about this case is urged to contact Detective Abraham Ruiz

He is survived by wife Sharon Mae Mitchell of Sanger; sons Phillip Mitchell and wife Connie of San Jose and Jeff Mitchell and wife Sheila of Georgia; daughter Susi Greene and husband Steven of Alabama; brothers Walter Red Mitch- ell of Reedley and Charles Mitchell of Arkansas; mother-in- law Kay Simpson of Sanger; eight grandchildren; and two great grandchildren.
